Native family settles death suit with police

The family of a Native man killed by police in Ontario, Canada, has settled a lawsuit with the Ontario police department.

Details of the agreement were not disclosed. It came just as a trial into the death of Dudley George, who was was shot at Ipperwash Provincial Park in 1995 during a protest, was to start.

In addition to settling with the police, George's family has dropped its suit against former Ontario premier Mike Harris.
