Campbell undergoing treatment for prostate cancer

Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-Colo.) has been undergoing radiation treatments for prostate cancer, according to news accounts.

The cancer was discovered through a routine screening. Campbell has been receiving treatment for the past several weeks but a spokesperson said he will not undergo surgery. The treatments are to end November 4.

Campbell said through the spokesperson that he wants to keep details of his personal life private and would not discuss the issue publicly.
