A group of Dakota descendants filed a trust mismanagement suit against the federal government on Tuesday.

The 135 plaintiffs say they are beneficiaries to a trust created in 1866. They say they have not received proceeds from use of the land, which now houses a casino owned by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community.

The plaintiffs hope to expand the suit into a class action.
