A 16-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man face federal charges for the murder of a man on the Navajo Nation near Shiprock, New Mexico.

The Navajo Nation Law Enforcement Department said Stephen Franklin, 40, was stabbed to death early Saturday. The tribe arrested the boy, unidentified, and Johnathan Bigman on unspecified tribal charges, The Gallup Independent reported. The pair will be charged with murder by federal authorities.
