FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2002 A reported 200 members of the Kickapoo Tribe of Texas continue to occupy tribal buildings in protest of corrupt leadership. The members oppose chairman Raul Garza and his associates. Accusing them of financial mismanagement, they voted the Garza and the council out of office. The Bureau of Indian Affairs isn't recognizing the action. A federal judge ordered the protesters to leave but they have refused. A court hearing is scheduled next week to hear the dispute.
