The Oneida Nation of Wisconsin plans to make a full $20 million payment to the state under a compact whose provisions have been invalidated by the state Supreme Court.
The tribe also plans to continue offering new Class III games authorized by the compact even though the court decision said they were illegal. Oneida chairwoman Cristina Danforth made the announcement at a press conference today.
The state is expected to lose out on upwards of $200 million as a result of the court decision.
