A casino expansion is in the works for the Confederated Tribes of the Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians of Oregon.
The Three Rivers Casino will be replaced by a 50,000 to 60,000 square-foot building, according to officials in the city of Florence. A 100-room hotel is also planned.
To make way for the expansion, the tribe is seeking local approval to extend the city's sewer service to the casino. The tribe is proposing to pay for all construction costs and fees associated with the extension and to make over $150,000 in yearly payments to the city.
