The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut is holding a press conference on Thursday to announce a major expansion of the Mohegan Sun Casino.
The tribe will double the casinos 1,200 hotel rooms and add more slot machines and table games, the Associated Press reported. Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo, an architectural and design foirm responsible for casinos throughout the world, will design the expansion.
The move comes as Mohegan Sun celebrates its 10th anniversary. Also, the tribe is opening a racetrack in Pennsylvania with 1,100 slot machines this morning.
