The Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma is entering the commercial casino race in New York.

Global Gaming Solutions, a tribal subsidiary, is partnering with the developers of the $300 million E23 Casino near Albany. The tribe, which operate 19 casinos in Oklahoma and two commercial racetracks, would run the facility.

"Global Gaming Solutions, a commercial gaming business of the Chickasaw Nation, is participating in the ... process regarding the development of the E23 project. We look forward to sharing specific project details with the mayor's office, the common council, county leaders and all local residents in the very near future," CEO John Elliott said in a statement, according to news reports.

Developer Och-Ziff Real Estate has paid a $1 million application fee for the commercial casino. The Albany region will receive one license.
