Column: Florida Seminoles a tribe of 'high rollers'

"The old extravagance must have hung over the meeting like smoke.

The chairman of the National Indian Gaming Commission was in Hollywood Wednesday, ostensibly to warn Seminole tribal leaders to stop using illegal gambling machines in their Florida casinos.

That's a problem tribal leaders claim can be repaired just by rejiggering the computerized operating systems of their video gambling terminals. But unfettered spending and an utter lack of accountability were also on [Phil] Hogen's agenda."
