Authorities in North Dakota are taking a fresh look at the 2002 murder of Russell Turcotte, who was a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians.

Turcotte, 19, went missing in July 2002. He was on his way from North Dakota to Montana to see his mother, a member of the Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes from the Fort Peck Reservation.

After several months of searching, Turcotte's body was found near Grand Forks in November 2002. Authorities don't have any new leads but said they wanted to reopen the case.
