Campbell denies health will affect re-election bid
Monday, October 27, 2003

Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-Colo.), the only American Indian in the Senate, is expected to recovery fully from prostate cancer.

Campbell is undergoing radiation treatment for the cancer, which was discovered last year through a routine screening. His treatments will end in two weeks.

Campbell's health will not affect his bid for re-election, his campaign staff says. Campbell is expected to make an appearance with Vice President Dick Cheney November 6, two days after his treatment ends.
