The San Carlos Apache Tribe of Arizona will be opening a second gaming facility.

The tribe plans to open a temporary casino with 400 slot machines, 10 to 12 table games, a small lounge and a restaurant in 2014. A permanent facility, which could include a hotel and convention space, is set to follow.

"Under our compact with the state of Arizona our tribe is allocated two, Class III gaming facilities. This new casino will bring 400 permanent jobs for tribal members and residents of the county to this area and generate significant revenue for the entire region," Chairman Terry Rambler said in a press release.

The new casino will be located on the southwestern portion of the reservation, about 45 miles driving distance from the Apache Gold Casino Resort, and about 45 miles from the outskirts of Tucson.
