Yakama Nation works on Boys and Girls Club

The Yakama Nation of Washington is working with the city of Wapato to bring a Boys and Girls Club to the reservation.

The tribal council approved the creation of the club and appointed a tribal member to get it started. Officials from the Native American Boys & Girls Club and the regional Boys & Girls Club are on the reservation today to talk about the project.

The city of Wapato is offering space for the club. The tribe is negotiating a lease.
