Outgoing Rep. DeLay sets June 9 as last day in office

Rep. Tom DeLay (R-Texas), the former House majority leader, will spend his final day in office on June 9.
DeLay announced his resignation earlier this year. It came amid an indictment in Texas on charges of breaking election laws and the Department of Justice's Jack Abramoff probe.
DeLay has denied wrongdoing in both cases. But he dropped his re-election bid after a former staffer who worked with Abramoff pleaded guilty to a corruption conspiracy.
