Special master to increase oversight of Everglades

The Miccosukee Tribe and environmental groups are welcoming a federal judge's decision to appoint a special master to oversee the $8 billion cleanup of the Florida Everglades.

The tribe and environmentalist want the special master to ensure the state is complying with federal law. In a separate case before the Supreme Court, the tribe is fighting water managers in the state over polluted water being pumped into their homelands.
