Oneida Nation judge delays eviction of families
Tuesday, October 28, 2003

An Oneida Nation judge on Monday delayed the eviction of four families, their lawyer said.

The tribe ordered the families to vacate their homes. The tribe says the homes are unsafe but the families say they are being targeted because they have spoken out against tribal leaders.

An Oneida Nation spokesperson said the tribe is not negotiating a settlement but that discussions are ongoing.
