Yellow Bird: Spirit of the North brings wonders
Monday, November 17, 2003
"Winter is a time for rest and contemplation. It's a time for sewing quilts and making new things, mixing weighty stews that cook all day and fill the house with an aroma that makes you feel good. It is time to pull out those recipes for banana bread and cookies. It is time to make yeasty loaves of bread. Maybe, it's also time to read those books I promised I would review.
As the car came out of the snow squall and flakes turned into rain, I knew that this is the way the year would be. Spring will come, but for now, we are in the arms of the winter. And I need to remember every season has its wonder. This is the Northern spirit's time, and I will enjoy His visit."
